"The Reading Tree" Mixed Media

20” x 16” A small visual of a huge part of my childhood. Many times I packed a bag with books and ventured into the woods behind my house- a common play spot for my dog and I. I always ended up at the same tree- it was the perfect place to perch. I collected this bark from my reading tree. I used acrylic paint, upcycled denim, upcycled book pages, dried moss, and pieces of bark.
